We are a group of five adopters who found our furry companions in a government-owned, high-kill pound in South Korea. Ever since COVID-19 has started, there has been an increase in number of people who abandon their pets in Korea and decrease in adoption rate. Most of shelters has exceeded its maximum capacity. The facility is meant to hold 100 dogs, but it is currently housing more than 220 dogs.

Due to the general preference for small-sized breed dogs in Korea, Jindo mix and other bigger dogs, which are considered small or medium sized per U.S. standards, are not given enough chance of finding new families. Through this platform, we hope to increase their exposure and maximize their chance of finding forever homes, even if it means they will have to fly abroad and leave Korea.

Our team comprises of two volunteers working onsite at the shelter in Korea, two who helps with social media posts, two volunteers in the United States, and multiple supporters helping with websites, translation and more. Also, huge thanks to all of our foster parents who are caring for the dogs until they meet their forever family.

(Once you submit your application, one of our volunteers will initiate the adoption process by sending you and email through our official email address : info@charmadopt.org)
