Joy

Hi! my name is Joy.

I am a Retriever Jindo mix girl and weigh 16.54 lbs (7.5kg). DOB : April, 2024 Spayed and fully Vetted.

I was abandoned right after birth and taken to a shelter in Uljin, S. Korea.

The shelter practiced euthanasia every few months, and even if one managed to avoid that fate, the conditions were so poor that many young puppies succumbed to illness, as they weren’t given the necessary vaccinations.

Being young, I was spared from euthanasia this summer, but every day I lived in fear, uncertain if I would be next. I was hungry and anxious, never knowing what would happen.

Then, miraculously, I was rescued. I was immediately taken to the vet, where I received a health check, my vaccinations, and was spayed. From there, I was brought into a foster home, where I experienced the comfort of a real home for the first time. Everything was new to me—the warmth of a bed, the joy of a meal, and the excitement of toys. Initially, I didn’t even know how to play with toys or enjoy treats, but now I’ve discovered the happiness of playing with my foster mom, enjoying snacks, and savoring our walks together.

As a puppy, I’m still teething, so I love chewing on toys. I also adore treats and sitting on my foster mom’s lap. The fresh breeze during our walks fills me with joy and a sense of peace.

Now, I’m waiting to meet my forever family—someone who will cherish me and share in life’s adventures with me. I dream of a future filled with love, play, and companionship.

If you think I’ll be a good fit for your family, please submit an application for adoption!
