Hi! My name is Summer
I was a stray dog and lived in small village in South Korea. One rainy summer day, I stopped by a random house in order to stay out of rain. Unfortunately, the homeowner found me and reported me to an animal control. That’s how I taken to the Uljin local Shelter.
According to the shelter policy, if a dog cannot find a new family within 15 days of arrival, that dog be placed on the euthanasia list. Sadly, I wasn’t adopted in time and was about to be subjected to euthanasia in October, 2024. Every day in there was full of fear and anxiety because I have no idea what will happen next to me.
Thankfully, I was rescued with my roommate, Bom, who was in the same kennel with me. After rescued, I received treatment for heartworm, and now I am fully recovered. Vet confirmed that I am completely healthy, full of energy, and ready to start a new chapter in life.
After staying with a foster family in Korea for a while, I finally arrived in New Jersey in January 2025 to find my forever family.
Since I was not familiar with getting care and love from people, it was weird and scary at the first time. Now, I am not afraid of being loved! Even I am enjoying :) My foster mom says I’m graceful, smart, and beautiful—just like a little lady. She especially loves my eyes, perfectly lined with eyeliner!
Now, I’m healthy, happy, and ready to meet my forever family. If you think I’ll be a good fit for your family, please submit an application for adoption!
