Bom

Hi! My name is Bom.

🐾Japanese spitz Jindo mix/ 1years old / Weight : 6.5kg (14.33 lb)
🐾Female (Spayed and fully vetted)

I was a stray dog and lived in a small village in South Korea. I don’t have many memories when I was young, however, living on the street wasn’t easy all the time. What I remember is I was always hungry and people in the town were hostile to me. Since I was afraid of encountering people, I tried to avoid them, however, I was found by someone and that person reported me to an animal control. That’s how I taken to the Uljin local Shelter.

Shelter policy said if a dog cannot find a new family within 15 days of arrival, that dog be placed on the euthanasia list. Sadly, I wasn’t adopted in time and was about to be subjected to euthanasia in October, 2024. Every day in there was full of fear and anxiety because I have no idea what will happen next to me.

Thankfully, I was rescued with my roommate, Summer, who was in the same kennel with me. After rescued, I got regular check with vet, and the vet confirmed that I am completely healthy, but a little bit skinny. The vet confirmed that I am ready to start a new chapter in life.

One of rescuers named me Bom, which means ‘Spring’ in Korean. She wished me to live a new, warm, and happy life like Spring with full of flower. And I think my beautiful name had a power! Thanks to my name, I met wonderful foster parents in Korea.

It wasn’t easy to live with people and be loved by them at first. Now, I am not afraid of being loved! Even I am enjoying :) My foster parents say I am sweet, smart, and beautiful. My favorite things are having a treat, playing with toys, and walking with my foster family. However, the best thing I love is playing with my foster dad!!! He is so energetic and funny (Sorry mommy hehe :-) )

Now, I’m healthy, happy, and ready to meet my forever family. If you think I’ll be a good fit for your family, please submit an application for adoption!

-Bom
