Mimi & Harry’s Happy Tail
I saw a photo of baby Mimi trembling in fear at a Korean shelter and decided to adopt her. After going through the adoption process and two months of loving care from a Korean foster family, I brought Mimi to the US in July 2019. Mimi is timid and scared, prefers dog friends over people, and had severe separation anxiety, but with consistent training and activities like walks and playtime, she has become affectionate, and loves spending over two hours a day on walks with her mom, dad, and sister.
After receiving so much love from Mimi, I decided to adopt another shelter dog name Harry, who had been in a small kennel for a year and only saw occasional visitors who he would desperately and pitifully cling on. With the help of a volunteers and three months of care from a Korean foster family, Harry came to San Diego in December 2020. Mimi and Harry rely on each other, play and share treats together, and get along well with our older dog. Mimi and Harry especially love being around children, sleeping together on our bed, going hiking and playing in the sand at the beach, and even escorting kids to and from school. Our whole family is happy with them.
If you want to be happier with your pet, I highly recommend adopting a shelter dog.
